This is the Duomo, the cathedral that Milan is famous for. Wonder why? On the top is a gold statue of the Virgin Mary, the Madonnina (I think it's spelled like that).

Here is my mom in the Galleria, directly to the left if facing the Duomo. IT's this gorgeous cross-shaped gallery thing with arched glass ceilings. Lots of cafes and high class shops are in here.
The Castle Sforzesco. To the left is the front view of the bell tower, and above is me sitting on one of the walls on the back. If someone pushed me, I'd have fallen many many feet into the former moat, but luckily I stayed safe!
Above is Leonardo's famous "Last Supper", and my mom and I got to see it in all it's glory in the church to the right, Maria della Grazie. The painting is huge - most of the wall - and I've been studying it all semester in my art class so this was a very gratifying moment to see this oh-so-famous painting. The church was gorgeous too, and I got to hear (as in I didn't understand) mass in there, too.
To the left is my mommy in front of Milan's famous department store (think like Harrods) called La Rinascente. It's just a very large store with very pretty christmas ornaments that my mom bought some of. Plus they had pretty lights outside lining the sidewalk, as you can see. To the right is my mom again, but this time we're in Torino (about 2 hours out of Milan). We're on the very pretty street Garibaldi, with all those hanging sphere things that probably light up at night. Right behind her is some important building, but I don't know of what. We were really there to see the Shroud of Turin, which we went to the church it was in. Pretty cool.
