| 27 July 2001 I have issues with the airlines: Why on earth do they book 2 flights going to the same destination AT THE SAME TIME? That causes serious serious travel mishaps to people like... myself. This morning. I was on a 7:20 flight to LA and ran to the gate cuz I was running late (darn that DC traffic). So I'm boarding the flight and I look at the ticket and it says to Chicago (continues onto LA). It was so late that I just got on the flight. I make it to Chicago to find out that from Chicago to LA is completely full, so I'm SOL and stuck in Chicago. For almost three hours. I FINALLY make it to LA (5 hours later than I should have). But right before I get onto the flight to LA my dad calls me and asks me why I took this flight #. I said, 'cuz it goes to la, but apparently not nonstop'. Then he tells me that I took the WRONG flight. I was listed for the correct flight, but there was another flight that went thru Chi. leaving at the same time and since I was late I ended up going to the wrong gate and wasting several hours of my precious life. Looking back all I can do is laugh. So first the stupid airlines books 2 flights at the same time. That was also a problem when I was trying to get out of Chicago because there was an 11:50am and an 11:55am at the 2 ends of the same terminal going to LA and I had to choose. Luckily I chose correctly. But what the hell is that sh*t they pull! So now I'm in LA. I'm tired. BUT I'm going to see an advanced screening of American Pie 2, so it's not all bad. I just had to vent. Thank you. |
