Our ancestors walked this land in days gone by Never knowing the hows or whys They lived in harmony with nature day by day Believing that they knew the way
They cared for the animals and the land But they knew not what was at hand They farmed and hunted for only what was needed But the wise ones' words were never heeded
Strangers came to take it all But they would not heed the call They met and planned to save their nation But they never believed there could be such devastation
Remember our fathers for what they tried to do And all the sorrow they had to go through As you look at this land and how it is now See what they've done and let your head bow
Life was so peaceful for those that went before Until deceipt came and opened the door Now this land has been taken by others Those who will never claim to be our brothers.
