Very excited to be communicating with you again. I have really missed
that but then life is not a bed of roses. As they say if wishes were

I had a very tortuous time in Abuja. But I need not bore you with all
the details now. When we meet and we are not talking or doing something

I am reaching you a little bit late today because I was trying to see
the possibility of being in Holland this weekend. I have been at it
almost all day but my travel agent says all flights to Europe are fully
booked. This is not unexpected because Nigerians travel a lot. Most of
them came home for the yuletide and there is huge passenger traffic at
this period. He is still working on it. There could be a chance going
through a neighbouring West African country.

Please keep me updated with all relevant details and let me have the
name address, telephone and fax numbers of the hotel you will be staying. Certainly I will send a picture of myself before moving. I will have to get a new scan machine or do it at a business center.

Have you really been saving yourself for me? I am surprised that you
have not had sex for ages? Don’t you have a boyfriend or at least a
companion or is he back there in Australia? Well I am very much up for it. The money won’t matter much because you would have concluded with them when we meet. Then we would just tidy up little matters of the sharing and disbursement/ investment of the funds and quickly get to action. But it may be too late in the day to talk business when I arrive so we may just get to action first and talk business the next day.

I'm sorry that I have not been able to reply to your emails, but I have been in hospital the past week with viral meningitis. The doctors have said that the symptoms last from 7 to 10 days. I feel almost better, but a bit weak. I'm glad it was not bacterial meninigitus, else I might not be alive anymore. I thought I was going to die anyway as I had a fever, severe headache and stiff neck. The bright lights hurt my eyes.

I also felt drowsey and vomited a lot.

I cant travel anywhere for the next week and a half. I feel bad that I've let you down. I really want to complete this transaction for both our sakes, but I need to be well before going anywhere. Doctors orders. The viruses that cause viral meningitis are contagious the doctors tell me. If you are around someone who has viral meningitis, that is me, you have a moderate chance of becoming infected, but a very small chance of developing meningitis. So best stay where I am for the moment.

I will see how I feel this weekend.

I am so relieved to hear from you after so many days of silence. I suspected that something could be wrong with your health. But we are still very superstitious down here in Africa so we do not harbor or entertain negative thoughts of any one dear to us.

We have to be thankful to God that it was not bacterial meningitis. I did not really know the difference between the bacterial and the viral types. What we hear of here is cerebral spinal meningitis which is common in the northern part of the country and it kills very fast, with fever, sever headache and stiff neck as you have described.

We are in good luck that you are recovering already. I hope that you will be fully recovered in the next ten days as envisaged. But please make sure you obey the doctor’s orders religiously. You have not let us down, we were all let down by ill health. There should be no room for any one feeling bad. For both our sakes, get fully recovered before venturing out. It is better late than never.

Until you get better everything would have to be suspended. But please endeavour to communicate with Holland if you haven’t done so already. It is very important that they know your present situation so that they can make appropriate arrangements towards receiving you at a future date.

Thank you for your kind words. When the doctor told me I had meningitis, I was fearful that I was going to die. I really was very scared and didnt have any friends around to comfort me. Sorry that I havent been in touch for what seems like years.

I sent numerous emails to Holland and didnt receive any kind of reply. It looks to me that these millions I was promised has all fallen flat. It really is a shame as I am now in dire need of some money. To cap it all off, one of my best friends is now being held captive on one of the Shell oil rigs in Nigeria. I am going thru hell right now.
