| This doll was designed based on the Summer Elegance Bride pattern found in Annie's Crochet Newsletter, issue #97 (January-February 1999). As you can see, she is no longer a bride! I changed the pattern somewhat, namely omitting the large flower motifs from the skirt and adding the crystal beading to the bodice. | |

| She is crocheted in #10 cotton thread (DMC Cebelia). The ruffles on the bottom of the skirt were very time consuming! I embellished the bodice with 4mm Swarovski austrian crystals, and the crystals were also used in the jewelry, along with pearl beads. She features a full facial repaint, a manicure, rooted eyelashes, and a hair cut and style. Her hair and dress has been trimmed with satin ribbon. | |

| The biggest change in this doll, however, is her mouth. She was originally a Birthday Party Barbie. A very pretty doll utilizing the much sought-after Steffie face mold, but with one problem. This doll was made to blow up balloons, and featured an ugly hole in her mouth. (See picture below.) I filled it up and now you can't even tell! | |
