CHRISTINA |
 |
|
Christina is my second doll with a full
facial repaint. She has been given tri-tone green eyes, dark
brown eyeliner & eyebrows, and dark brown rooted eyelashes.
Her lips have been repainted rosy pink. Her hair has been restyled
and she has been given simple pink and crystal rocaille jewelry,
accented with a single teardrop Czech bead. Her costume was crocheted
from a pattern from Annie's
Attic's Calendar Bed Doll Series: Miss August 1995 (Bridal Trousseau
collection). She is a turn of the century, 1900 lady, but I have
made her more glamorous and modern. I omitted her gloves and
made a few minor changes to the pattern. Her costume is made
with white and baby pink cotton DMC Cebelia thread, and trimmed
with ribbon and ribbon roses. |

Christina is named for my Grandma, who
is the recipient of this doll. |
This doll fought me every step
of the way. Nothing was easy about her, and anything that could
go wrong, DID. But I do like how she turned out. |

This doll was formerly a blonde Pretty
in Plaid Barbie. I put her head on an older bent arm body,
and I slightly reshaped her arms.
Psst- First dollie pics with the new
digital camera...It can only get better. :) |
