     JOSEPH JOHNS, retired miner, Hazel Green; born in Cornwall, Eng.,
in 1821; came to America in 1846, and settled in this village, and engaged 
in mining.  Married Jane PAUL, a native of England; they have five children
---Mary Jane, Emily, Sarah, Alfretta, Lennie May.  Are members of the
Primitive Church.
