MATHEW FRANKLAND, stock-dealer and butcher, Hazel Green; born in Yorkshire, 
England, in 1820; came to America in 1850, and settled in Grant Co., and engaged in
mining for a short time.  Married Elizabeth DAYKIN, a native of England; they have 
seven children---Ann, Dinah, Mary J., John S., Isabella, Lizzie Annie, Mathew.
