JOHN J. CRAWFORD, of the firm of Crawford Bros., 
creamery, Hazel Green; born in Hazel Green in 1856; 
he is the son of Jefferson CRAWFORD, a native of
Greene Co., Penn., born in 1809; he came to Wisconsin
in 1832, and engaged in lead mining and smelting; he died
in 1868.  Jefferson CRAWFORD, Jr., was born in this 
village in 1852.
