| With the changing of the seasons so is there a change in the way I see things & think about things. Does this happen to you? Back in March I really needed to change my surroundings and thus began my quest to organize my stash and thereby clean up my living room. However as time passed me by the March Madness turned to April Crazies and now I'm in the May Maybes! (Thanks to fellow CL members for these fun names!) Today my living room is really incredibly improved from way back in March. In fact if you were to stop at my house you could actually sit in my living room without having to first move a pile of things out of the way. Now that isn't to say that it is perfect ... I still need to dust & eliminate some of the over kill of dust catchers. I really do believe this will happen within my lifetime I've often told people that my husband is Felix Unger to my Oscar Madison (for those of you too young ... or maybe even too old to recall the Odd Couple) ... Felix is a super neat freak while Oscar is a pure slob. In case you didn't know people can rub off on others ... it only took about a dozen years of my sweet "neatie" living with me to learn to look the other way and eventually to stop cleaning my mess. Unfortunately now my mess has taken over the entire home .... yes I admit to invading even his den! But the good news is that now that we've been married this long I find I can't stand the mess. So it may have taken a bit longer for him to rub off on me but it is beginning to happen! And so with the May Maybes half over I still have a long way to go in organizing my stash & getting my craft room set up nicely. I can see Jazzy June arriving in grand style where the problem will be it's way too hot to even think about cleaning and organizing! As long as I never find my yarn and hooks too far from my hands I will survive. Wishing you all wonderful springtime thoughts and dreams that give way to warm summery pleasures. |
