Good Golly Miss Molly

This time around, we are going to learn a little more about Anne Fatato.  She is a very wonderful lady who helps keep track of the exchanges and their status.  She helps us keep everything running smoothly.
Anne taught herself to crochet at the age of ten when she was given a "learn to crochet" kit.  However she talks about the joy she experienced when she was able to spend time at her grandmother's knee watching her grandmother crochet.  She is learning to work with and enjoy thread, but tells me that yarn is still her favorite.
As for pattern, she prefers the round ripple afghan (contained in LA's leaflet "New Crochet Basics".  She has many, many favorite patterns but always seems to return to the round ripple.  She finds that it makes a truly astounding gift for a shower.  Sounds like it is always very well liked and appreciated too.
Anne has been a member of Cl since about 1998 or 1999 after going online.  You might recognize her in CAT as Chocolate.  She is such a fun person to chat with.  Anne doesn't coordinate any exchanges but handles the Exchange Newsletter which really helps everyone know what is happening with the exchanges.  She also is able to remind us about all the wonderful exchanges that are available to CL members.  I asked Anne what advice she might give to a newbie (a person new to crochet) and she said it would be to RELAX!  "LOL just as real estate people tell you, it is all about location, location, location.  I tell newbies it is all about relaxing".  She tells newbies that they need to have patience with themselves as they learn.  Just as you would be patient with a growing child who is mastering a new skill, they need to relax and be patient with themselves while they learn this new skill.
Anne and her dh John have been married 27 years and have three grown children.  Anne and John were married two days after she graduated from highschool.  She told me that they haven't regretted a single day of her decision.  Anne and John celebrate their anniversary in May of each year.  They are enjoying having an empty nest and also enjoy their grandchildren (they currently have 1 with one on the way).  Their first grandchild is Kyla who will be 21 on the 23rd of November and Adriana is due to arrive on the 20th of November (assuming she keeps to her due date that is).  They have one furbaby who is named Lucy.  Lucy is a black lab mix who is over 13 years old.
Anne has many hobbies (other than crocheting) which include reading, playing computer games, playing around with her digital photography and working with her pens and ink doing calligraphy.  She also enjoys babysitting Kyla she says; "that isn't really a hobby is it?" but I think she enjoys it more than she is letting on!
