Notes and Analysis I love Haiku's. Their few words can seldom convey exact stories, unlike other kinds of poems. They can be interpreted in VERY different ways by different people. They are really supposed to be just simple-mided works of art, but the way I do it, I always put in symbolisms. Now if you read them a few more times again, you might be able to see my exact meaning by using these words. Better if you understand Japanese, as it has a very different impact if you read it. These poems were originally written in Japanese, so don't rely on the translations too much. I had a hrad time translating them because I was trying to fit them in the 5-7-5 measure... I also have Chinese haiku's, and I'm still thinking if i should post them... It was TOO HARD to translate!! Because in Chinese, I character is one syllable, and could easily be one word. And READ: HAIKU HAS 5-7-5 SYLLABLES!! i could make a novel out of three Chinese Haiku's... just kidding... -Pei |
