Chance by Li Pei Fen

Rapid images, random illusions
Eternal symphony, oh ethereal entity,
Bring forth the beginning of your bretheren
In hope of release from a thousand lifetime's internment.
Return, oh sould, to the earth, and not perish today,
To repent forgotten sins and be worthy not of
Heaven's surplus punishments.

Notes and Analysis

One word: REINCARNTAION

I can lamost hear you saying, "Oh, so that was it...".

I like this poem. This was just forced out of me, as always, but now, because of an English project. it's about reincarnation being another "chance".

Read this, this is an excerpt of how I put it in my project:

"The concept of reincarnation is of the body being just an instrument of the soul in its quest for perfection. We all are said to be sinful in nature, and the notion of karma, in Buddhist terms, is what determines the path of events in our lives. 'Everything we do comes back to us in full measure, no more no less.' So Buddhists believe that the bad things that happen to them in this lifetime are the karma of what they have done in past lifetimes.

"The soul, is therefore, brought back into existence after its body's demise in due time to atone for past wrongdoings."

This poem speaks of someone and his belief in the virtue of rebirth, seeing it clearly as a gift.
