Loganville wreck injures 3 teens

Three teenagers were seriously injured Friday afternoon in a collision at a Loganville intersection, police said.

The teens were hurt about 2:30 p.m. when a 1994 Honda Accord driven by Gene Hamilton, 17, of Grayson pulled from Langley Road onto U.S. 78 and was hit by a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Ted Hendricks, 30, of Loganville.

Hamilton was flown by helicopter to North Fulton Regional Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition. His sister, Laura Hamilton, 15, and another passenger, Amy Dougherty, 16, of Loganville were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center. Laura Hamilton was listed in fair condition, and Dougherty was in serious condition, a hospital spokesperson said.

Hendricks did not require immediate hospital treatment. The accident is under investigation, said Gwinnett County Police spokesman George Gilson.
