Explanation: This song could fit for Lee losing Amanda in some way. Maybe he missed his chance with her, she left the Agency, and moved away and left his life forever. Maybe they still did get together, but she left him for some reason, or it could even be that she left him through death. It's years later, and Lee has never gotten over losing her, but wants to get on with his life. I really like the line, "Dreaming of you, won't help me to do all that you dreamed I could," because Amanda always saw so much potential in Lee that he didn't see in himself. The only line that doesn't fit is, "You were once a friend and father." The friend part fits, but obviously not the father part.
