ALL ABOUT ME

Although I am an SMK fanatic (which I think you can all see), amazingly enough, I do have a life outside of SMK. So I thought I would create a page to tell you about my life outside SMK.

Although this page is supposed to be about my life outside of SMK, I would like to start by telling you my SMK history. I watched the series when it originally aired in 1983. I was only eleven years old then. I don't remember too much about the series, except that even at eleven I wanted Lee and Amanda to get together. I also remember Bruce being my first real actor crush. As I watch the episodes now, I see why. I didn't know about the Lifetime runs, or the Family channel runs. I didn't even know that Pax was running SMK, until I accidentally stumbled upon it. I was sick and just vegging in front of the TV, trying to find something good to watch. Suddenly Bruce and Kate appeared on my screen. I said, "No, that can't be Scarecrow," but I knew it was. Where else would I see Bruce and Kate together? And the rest as they say, is history.

My name is Lori. I live in Los Angeles California. I am a single, part time college student. My major is Animal Sciences. Okay, in English, I want to be a veterinarian technician. I currently work in a veterinary clinic part time. I am very much into the animal rights movement. It is something that I am extremely passionate about. I am a vegetarian and I don't buy products that are tested on animals. Why do I do this? Number one, I am an animal lover and always have been. Number two, because animals can't stand up for themselves, they need humans to do it for them. My goal is to live on a ranch someday, with lots of acres and run an animal sanctuary, where any type of animal that is injured, stray, or just in need of a loving home can come to.

My hobbies include listening to music, singing, reading, collecting Star Wars Memorbilia, Baseball (watching, not playing), going to the movies (The Star Wars trilogy is my favorite movie(s) of all time), hanging out with my friends, watching TV, playing on the computer and my favorite hobby of all, playing with my cat, Ariel , who is four and a half years old. Since I have no children at the present moment, she is my baby!! One of the hobbies I wanted to elaborate on a bit more, is the music. I am very passionate about music. It has been my savior on many occasions. I love listening to music and singing as well. I was in choir from the 4th grade until the 12th grade. I do not only sing in choir though. I sing with the car radio, I sing whenever I have music on (which is most of the time), I even find myself just breaking out in song in public, without even realizing it. That's how much singing is just second nature to me.

Well, amazingly enough I do watch other TV shows besides SMK, although SMK is one of my favorite shows, hence the SMK page. My other favorite TV shows include: Whose Line is it Anyway?, the Drew Carey Show, Quantum Leap, Dawson's Creek, Friends, Felicity, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, ER and The X-Files.

Unfortunately in August of 2003 I had a family emergency that didn't turn out well. I am extremely close with my family, especially my parents. In May my dad got sick with a blood infection. He was in the hospital for 10 days. He got out and seemed to to be all right. Unfortunately he had complications at the end of July from the blood infection and had to go back in the hospital. The complications were incredibly serious and proved to be ultimately fatal. My dad died August 10, 2003, at only 59 years old. I miss my dad very much and it's been a long 3 months. I miss you and love you, dad, and always will. I hope you are at peace now! Well, that is enough about me. Hope you are enjoying your stay at my site.
