Club Membership
Membership Requirements: Membership of the Scandinavian Club of Manawatu is open to people of Scandinavian birth or descent, or who have a genuine interest in matters relating to Scandinavia or Scandinavian heritage.
Membership Classifications: Members can join on an Individual or Family basis, with Family membership being defined as those members of a family living at the same address.
Membership Fees: Annual fees become payable on 1 April of each year, and are valid until 31 March of the following year. The Individual fee is $NZ10.00 pa, while the Family fee is $NZ15.00 pa.
Entitlements: Members receive the club’s newsletter, Skandia Quarterly, as well as entitlement to participate in the usual Manawatu-based chore activities undertaken by the club. The Wellington Scandinavian Club is also affiliated to the Manawatu Scandinavian Club, and its members also belong equally to the Manawatu club in their own right, as the Wellington club’s activities are now self-funding and it no longer charges a separate membership fee.
National and International
Membership: The club, because of Skandia
Quarterly, now has members throughout New Zealand, and in Australia, the
United States and Scandinavia. The additional cost charged for overseas
postage is available upon request.
