Mats Örnsved

Born December 10th 1965. He started seriously listening to music in the senior level of the nine-year school:
At that time I started buying hard rock records. Before that I mostly just listened to music played on the radio. Now I'm talkin' about the years 1981 and 1982 and forward.

Which Heep record was your first?
The first record I bought with Uriah Heep was Abominog. That was in 1982. And the first Classical Heep records I bought was Wonderworld and Look At Yourself. Both these I found second hand. And from that point I was a real Heep fan. At the time I didn't know any other heepsters. At work my collegues rather listened to more modern hard rock. And though I never seen Heep live I do agree with Robban in he's well known judgment (which is well known on the ScanHeep list) about present Heep not being so much of an interesting band as the Classical Heep.

Alright. So what else are you listening to?
Well... The last years I've listened a lot on heavy stuff (in Swedish: "tunga grejer") as Black Metal and Death Metal, but in the present I'm more into the Classics again: Deep Purple, Black Widow (which has been discussed on the RiffRock list) and Rush.
Rush is a band I've been checking again, because I was hooked on them in the 80's, but it's their music from the 70's I prefer. Their later stuff I've never apreciated much...

...and then Mats rush away in the tube... This was a very rush little interview with him in the subway of Stockholm were he works as a ticket collector.
