Hi Sandi

Funny, every time I here the song {Hes Got The Whole World in His Hands) I think about Ken & Alice.  I heard that song this morning. I remember we went to your house once and there was some guy I think he was in the Navy and he sang that song.  Ever since then when I hear it I think of you guys. Last week I put my name on Google just for the fun of it and got your O`Brien web site. It is fantastic. You must have worked very hard on it.  If I find something you be able to use I will let you know. Tell everyone Hi!

I have just visited the your web site for the first time and found it fascinating. I don't know how often you update things or how detailed you want to go but here's a little information for you: You have a photo of one of the first family reunions at my Grandma's house. You say it is around 1950. I'm the curly headed little girl down in the front in the dress & I believe I am about 3 or 4 in that picture. Since I was born in 1950 that would make it around 53' or 54.'  I have a huge box of family photo's that my Dad gave me before he died. If I ever get some spare time I will go through them to see what I can find for your album. I know for sure there are some of Grandma & Aunt Florence.

I don't have any memory of my life from birth to 10 years old but after that I do remember going to Manitowoc to visit Aunt Clara & Uncle Walter. And of course Loretta & Joe. In fact if I remember correctly my Dad ran over one of their cats as we were leaving to return home to Racine. I also remember lots of visits with Sister Mary Claradell. I have photos of her also.
We spent lots of summer vacations up in Darlington at Rosie (Aunt Peg's daughter) & Joe Thompson's farm.

Thanks again & take care.....Lori LaFournier
My name is Patrick McKeon.

I was searching the web for information on my family history and I found your name.  My great grandparents were James Diamond and Mary O'Brien.  Mary was the first born daughter of Lawrence O'Brien and Mary Lynch.  Her younger brother, Michael, would have been your great grandfather if I understand the information in the website correctly.

I have some information on Mary's children.  Mary was the mother of my grandmother, Catherine Diamond McKeon.  I noticed in the family history that Mary O'Brien's date of death was left blank.  I have a copy of her obituary if that would help you complete this history.

Please email if you would like to know more about the information I have found.
Greetings

My name is Fr Martin Peter Callaghan of Annan Dumfriesshire Scotland. My father was William Martin Callaghan of Glasgow where I was born. My grandfather was Peter O'Brien Callaghan who was born in Rutherglen Glasgow in 1896. His stepfather was 'Rugger' Martin (the name is retained in the family) who we are told within the family was a relative of Admiral Martin of US Navy.

Are you able to give me any info?

With blessings
Martin Callaghan
hi just to let you know what a wonderful site!!!
My dad James Michael O'Brien died 4 years ago I didnt really know much about his family only that his Mother was called Nellie (Ellen) and his dad was a Seaman called Michael O'Brien he seemed to have sowed his oats around the world because he had a son Danny who lives in Australia and family in the north of England. There was Joseph, Albert, Margaret, and I think Mary, they all were devout Catholics and sadly there is only Joseph and the two girls left living. I dont know if there is any connection with your family only the name!!! But Im afraid thats all I know about them. Keep up the good work!!
Regards Alison Lea (nee O'Brien)
Whilst casting around looking for information on a few names from yet another generation of ancestors I came upon your site. Curiously, three out of the four names I was looking for are prominent on your site. O'Brien, Lynch, and Gallaghan, (or Galligan, Galigan, or even Gilligan depending who spelt it).
Interesting though your site is, I don't think we're connected.  My set of ancestors, although they undoubtedly came from Ireland, made the shorter journey to Scotland.

Cheers,
J. McEwan
