Kilbrittain Castle, County Cork, Ireland
Kilbrittain Castle, was built by Mahon, king of Rathleann and a grandson of Brian Boru (from whom the O'Briens are descended) in 1035.  It is located on the southern tip of Ireland in County Cork in a beautiful, quiet, serene setting.

We stayed at Kilbrittain Castle for an evening in 1999 and thoroughly enjoyed our evening and the dinner recommendations made by Mr. O'Brien.

Today the Castle is a Bread and Breakfast Inn owned by Cahill-O'Brien family.  For more information on accomodations at Kilbrittain contact the
Irish Tourist Board.
