| February 16, 1927 Tragedy Ends Visit of Marshfield Man Here: Albert Bolzenthal Stricken as He Bids Daughter Good-bye to Return Home Tragedy closed the two months visit of Albert Bolzenthal, Marshfield man, to his daughter Mrs. Adolph Kotche at Rockwood when death claimed him suddenly today as he was making his farewells to members of the family. Mr. Bolzenthal was to return to his home this morning and with members of the Kotche family had left the home at Rockwood to go to the railway station when suddenly, and with no warning, he fell to the ground and was dead before medical aid could be summoned. The death of Mr. Bolzenthal was a great shock as he was in apparent health. An attack of heart failure was responsible for his end. He was 70 years of age and had been a resident at Marshafield for years engaged in farming there. Mrs. Bolzenthal died October 25 at Marshfield and Mr. Bolzenthal came here to visit with his daughter in December and had remained here since. Last Word a Goodbye Early today Mr. Bolzenthal completed plans made several days ago to return to his home and after the morning meal bid the family farewell and started for the conveyance waiting to take him to the station. His daughter followed him to the door and as he turned for a last word with her he suddenly collapsed. Mr. Bolzenthal is survived by three sons, Albert, this city, Leonard of Green Bay and Walter at Marshfield and by five daughters, Mrs. Fred Madel, Two Rivers, Mrs. A. Kotche, Rockwood, Mrs. E. Emmerson, St. Louis and Mrs. Lillian Rheinwandt of Washington. One brother Wenzel at Rockwood and two sisters Mrs. Mary Miller of Hortonville and Mrs. Gustave Kugel of Wauwatosa also survive. Services will be held at the Kotche home at Kings Bridge Thursday afternoon, the Rev. A. Schreiber officiating and the body will be brought to the Wattawa parlor here and taken to Marshfield Friday morning over the Soo line. |
