Bryon Russell- born: 12/31/70

He was drafted in the second round (45th pick) by the Utah Jazz, mainly because he was a goo defender. But his offensive game has improved and he is one of the best role players this game has seen. He played in the NBA finals twice with Stockton and Malone and he has not played for a team other than Utah. He still is one of the best defenders and he is a solid player, which explains his low steal per turnover ratio (third in the NBA with 1.27 steals per turnover). Russell has always been a dangerous player and this year will be no exception.

John Starks- born: 08/10/65

He was not drafted but became a starter with the New York Knicks and the Golden State Warriors. Starks joined the Jazz last season and that was a bad season for the veteran. But he knows that this year is going to be better. In the 96/97 season he won the Sixth Man Award and that is one of the many things he already accomplished. He played with many superstars and now he tries to find a way to be in the starting line up and play with the legendary John Stockton and Karl Malone.

DeShawn Stevenson- born: 04/03/81

One of the new generation. Flying high and dunking the ball as much as possible. Last year he was a bench warmer. But coach Jerry Sloan did a good job. He (Stevenson) improved his mid range jumper and is now a more intelligent player. Someone who fits in the Jazz system. He has some problems with the law but despite that he could see more playing time this season.
