Hey,

AlmostAngela . . . it's been a long while since I visited camp online. I can't believe all the changes! I remember when you were searching feverishly for Felissa Rose & the very first web site you had. I just got the SC DVD last night and was shocked to hear her voice on the commentary. She's beautiful. I can't believe Jeff Hayes made SC history! Anyway, I really like that new web site look! Wow! you got to interview Angela!

Take Care,

Horns

Comments: This is barnone the best website I have ever visited. I looked up Sleepaway Camp without expecting there to be much of anything, and I find an incredibly detailed website, and furthermore one thankfully ignoring the other sequels which had none of the magic! I feel real emotions when I watch Sleepaway Camp! I wish I could talk about it without sounding like I'm joking, but I'm not! I love this movie so much! My family and I watch it together, and it really makes all comfortable! My dad is never happier then when watching Mike Kellin get an arrow through the neck! I think they really killed him! You have done a really good job! I'm going to go look at some more of it! Thank you for making this!!!!!

I'm all messed up about the DVD since A: I'm amazed they actually put one out and B: according to you guys they fucked it all up. I haven't seen it anywhere, and if I found it I'd probably buy it, but I feel bad having to buy a cut up one, especially with cuts that don't make any sense. I guess it'd be worth it for the commentary. I wish they'd put extra stuff on there rather than taking stuff out. I wouldn't even mind watching the really long baseball game scene. I like the baseball game!

These are my favorite Sleepaway Camp parts: 1) "Any chips?" "Why, yes! I believe there's a WHOLE BAG!"
2) When they hit Angela with the water balloon and Ricky yells every swear word ever invented.
3) "Well, dinner WAS shitty..."
4) "Oh no, not Meg! Not Myagagagygagg!"
5) "Hey bob a ree bob! Hey heeeey bob a ree bob!"
6) The Blue Oyster Club shirt.
7) Ricky's cowboy hat.
8) Mike Kellin's pants.
9) "Back where I'm from, we call 'em baldies!"
10) The two men pointing at each other in bed.

BEST CHARACTER: The guy who has to clean up after everyone and really seems to hate his job and falls down and grabs his dink and says "Right here Mel!" and then finds the dead kid in the boat. That guy's funny!

Without question my favorite movie ever. I actually got a new Video Treasures copy of it around 1996, right before it went out of print, for Christmas from my brother, but I keep an eye out for it at used tape sales and crap like that. I wish they'd have a Sleepaway camp convention where you could meet the entire cast. I would pay good money and travel great distances to attend such an event! Bye!

Jeremy!

I thought you did a great job on Paul's head. The 2 of him with his head on and the one with it off (he looks very happy in that one). Also you had a segment with some of your dreams and since you shared yours i'd like to share mine.

I'm looking for Angela and every place I look are the same places I went on my 1st day and this camp I went to when I was her age in the 1st movie and after a while I end up in the 2nd movie and i walk into the mess hall and she is up there singing her the happy camper song she is at the "and with the grace of god" part I chime in with I'll camp until I die. At this point everyone is quiet and giving me an odd like exept Angela who is smiling. Then she says "hi Tom" and then it skips to me and her by the old cabin. She hugs me like I was her cousin or somthing and asks the usualy how are yous and what have you been up to. Then she starts on about how she dosn't like the way the campers are acting and how she wished for nice campers and how she had to weed out the the good ones. So i'm like do what you got to do and thats when i wake up. kinda odd

Hi carrie, its me branden, a long time fan of your website, i dont know if you have seen the new anchor bay version of sleepaway camp yet, but if you havent, i recently got the dvd and would like to share with you the changes that i noticed.

1. when ricky does the "mind over matter" thing with mozart, when he is suppoded to say "you guys are gross" his mouth moves, but nothing is heard, then when the guys are laughing at him and gene is like "he didnt fall for the old mind over matter trick did he?" then you hear mozart say "you guys are gross" very bad editing if you ask me. but maybe my copy is just screwed up, i dunno.

2. The part when the guys are running into the water and you see their asses, that was cut, just like you said.

3. When kenny's body is found they still show the snake but they cut out the first time the guy blows hiw whistel and they dont show the body a second time (i think )

4. about 1/2 of what mel tells meg's dead body about what he is going to do to ricky that was cut.

5. the part where billy says "wrinkled old dick" when angela get hit withthe balloons was cut, just as you said, to tell you the truth i never noticed that he said that untill you said something :P

6. and with out a doubt the biggest change that actually kinda pissed me off was when ricky flips off judy on the original version she goes "same to you" and on the dvd she just like stands there and doesnt say anything.

now these are things that if someone never saw the original never would notice, but to me they stuck out like a sore thumb. I am glad to have sleepaway camp fully restored, it looks really good, but all in all i would say that i am unhappy with these cuts that were made. I think it was your sleepaway camp website, (god knows there are so many wannabe's of your site out there ) but i read that having the original media or video treasures versions is kinda like having the directors cut version of the movie, and you were absolutly right, so maybe my video treasures slp version isnt a clear crisp picture, or doesnt have dolby 5.1 sound, but atleast the whole movie is there you know?

Well im sorry about sending you an email going on and on about me and my sleepaway camp problems. I hope i have helped you some, however if you already got the new versions and know this already, then im sorry for wasting your time, anyways its always good visiting your website and i look forward to hearing from you soon. Take care , Branden :P

Hi.I just came across your page and wanted to write.I saw Sleepaway Camp for the first time years ago when I was younger and we rented it for the night. Some parts of the movie spooked me pretty good, especially the ending but back then alot of horror movies did that. That was the only time I had ever seen it until yesterday.I was out shopping and was looking in the video section to see what I could pick up and as soon as I saw Sleepaway Camp on the rack I snatched it up.This was the first time I had seen it in about 15 or so years and the ending still got to me.The only thing now is,the ending looks so fake.I can't tell if Felissa Rose's head is superimposed on a male body or if its superimposed onto a model of a male body. But that aside,I still loved seeing it again after all these years.Do you know if Felissa is still in acting? It would be interesting to see what she's doing now.I hope I hear from you sometime. It'd be cool to talk about the movie with another fan as well as any other low budget horror movies you like.

I just wanted to let you know how much I deeply care and love Sleepaway Camp. Angela is the most prolific actress to grace the silver screen. A most wonderful, fun, family oriented film!

Dear sir or madam, My friend was telling me of this fine movie, and I simply must see it. Where would I be able to obtain a copy of this film? I'll pay whatever.
Thanks
Joe
Do you know anywhere that I can buy some different Sleepaway camp memorabilia? Plus, I just wanted to let you know that your site is the best. I am so happy to find some one that really appreciates Sleepaway Camp like me. Thanks

Hey,
I really love your web site, but I was wondering about something. Is this the official site? I don't think so...right? If not, I saw a bunch of your pics on someone elses site, and I was just wondering if this was the official site. I just felt it toiok away from your site, considering how much time you put into it! I think its ashame when people take pics from others who work so hard to get them! Your sit is awesome! Thanks for your time! The site that has them is:
Hi i am a sleepaway camp fan, and remember the three films the first time, you are right the first is by far the superior. I have just purchased Sleepaway Camp on DVD.

Do you know if there are plans to release the rest of them, thank you very much for your help,

GREAT SITE !!!

Dave

"Almost Angela",

Since I am a very big fan of the "Sleepaway Camp" series, I was pleased to find your site. But, I only came to be disappointed.

I can't believe you actually call yourself a fan. Not only was the first in the trilogy excellent, but the 2 followers were just as good. Pamela Springsteen did as good a job as Felissa Rose. The scripts were just as creative, but the production didn't have enough of a budget to live up to "your standards" I suppose.

The acting in parts 2 and 3 were a lot better as well, but I don't want to start sounding like you, so I won't put down the movies in the least.

Your site has only been visited by me one time, and it shall stay that way. That is until you remove your disgusting comments. Since I doubt that will happen, I'll stick with www.sleepawaycampmovies.com. This site is far superior and praises ALL of the "Sleepaway Camp"s, not just the first one.

Joe Castagna

HEY! I read your reviews for the movies Sleepaway Camp 2 & 3, and I have to say that I agree. They were hard to stomach. But, without them, the series may have been forgotten about, and SC4 would be dead. So, they could be a good thing? I was also equally disappointed seeing that Angela returned as a different actress, and Robert Hiltzik did not return as the director. But, whatever, thats all behind us, right? Anyway, I just wanted to note that, in Sleepaway Camp 3, you forget to add that it was COMPLETLEY based on cliches. I think that was the only thing that made it the least bit funny. (Admit it, seeing Michael Pollard's acting and the "Saturday the 14th" Cliches weren't ALL that bad.) So, it was pretty bad, but I do own the movie, and I slip it in sometimes when I am home sick and I want to throw up the rest of my virus. LOL, JK. Anyway, your site is great and I can't wait to see the rest of the updates on Sleepaway Camp 4. See ya!

[email protected]

P.S.---Did U notice that in Sleepaway Camp 3, the garbage truck bears the numbers 1426, the house address for Nightmare on Elm Street? Do you think they meant to do that? And the green and red theme used on Freddy Krueger's sweater was also continuously used in the beginning. (The bags that Maria were carrying and the collar on Angela's jacket, WHICH I might add were then thrown into the back of the truck and crushed with the rest of the stuff.) Along with that, Jason's mask was found in the lake. So, with this in mind, I guess they were trying to symbolize that Angela was the ultimate killer, or something like that. Thanks for your time! BYE BYE.

Hello. I love the sight, but it has changed a lot since I last saw it and I can't find half the things you use to have on it. I've also been collecting things to make my own Sleepaway Camp site as soon as I get a computer. I've got kill lists, timelines, cast lists and my own short story (not in print but mostly in my head ) about what Sleepaway Camp 4 would be like if it ever comes out. It has references to Jason and Freddie as if they all exist in the sameplace. Kudos on the sight, if I want to sent you guys anything, where should I snail-mail it.
Hi: Angela, Oppppps I mean Carrie. I have a private hotmail address likewise. LOL I love all the Carrie's Movie also. I'm going to find Sleepaway Camp on DVD if I can. What part do you like the best in Sleepaway Camp? I think the best part of the movie is him dress like a girl and getting away with it till the end of the movie. It's a real mind blower. I also like the part in Part 2 when the Dirty old man gets his in the end. His wife is a real trip likewise. Do you have a homepage on the Internet? I have one if you like me to send it to you. Have a great day. Stay Warm. I'm from Ohio it's about 30 degress here today. Time for supper... Got to run. Take Care.... Captjim from Ohio.

Hi Carrie,

I came across your yahoo profile and thought I'd write.I'm also a fan of Sleepaway Camp.I saw the original once about 15 years ago or so and that was the one and only time until a few months ago when it was re-released.It was still as great as I rememberd it years earlier and the ending still freaked me out. I've also seen part 2 and just yesterday, finally managed to see part 3.I like pts. 2 & 3 but they don't compare with the first one.I've heard about Return to Sleepaway Camp and really hope that Felissa Rose is in it.I'm just curious as to if it will acknowledge pts. 2 & 3 or be a direct sequel to the original.Anyway, hope I hear back from you.I'd love to talk with another fan.Talk to you later.

Doug

I really enjoyed your site. SC is my all time fav B Movie. I couldn't believe all the info you have, great job.

Mike W.

Jane Krakowski as Judy?

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karen Fields IS Judy, and the movie wouldn't be the same without her!

By the way, I like your site. I dubbed a rented copy of SC back in the eighties when it first came out. I don't know which cut of the film I have, after reading about the different versions. But I always liked the movie and saw it as more than just the average slasher flick.

Hi. My name is Casey Tanner...I live in a town called Murfreesboro, about 30 minutes from Nashville TN. My folks live in Hendersonville NC, about 30 minutes from Asheville NC. But I'll get to that in a sec. I've been somewhat fanatical about a couple of movies, mainly Charles Kaufman's "Mother's Day" and currently "80 Blocks from Tiffany's"...Your near obsession with "Sleepaway Camp" is really...well, I guess comforting..I remember watching it a my buddy Fred Salantino's place(I think it was in 6th grade, like '86 or so..) I remember liking it a good deal...I've always had a soft spot for Camp flicks..My buddy Jason Heath started his own production company recently(www.barefootandindependent.com, check it out and drop him a line, he'll flip when he sees your site) and he always said that he'd remake the original...He loves it, it's one of his faves as well... So, anyway, I went home to Hendersonville NC and was hangin out at my folk's place, and I went for a walk around the Camp I used to work at(Camp Pinnacle, the camp they filmed that Disney movie "Heavyweights" at...shitty movie, Ben Stiller, did you see it?)...Camp Pinnacle is right next to my folk's House, like I can see the lake from their kitchen table...So anyway, me and my buddy Chad were in town last weekend, and we're making our way around the camp, scopin it out and taking the memory lane tour, and I run into this couselor, who's getting ready for the first session...I explain to him that I worked there like 10 years ago, and we start talking...He says he worked there for a while, remembered "Heavyweights" being filmed, and says he's psyched because there was going to be another film being made at the Camp this summer...What is it? And he goes "You remember that horror movie Sleepaway Camp? Well, they just made a deal, and theyre going to film some of it here this summer...I'm psyched man, I'm gonna try and be an xtra...yadda, yadda, ya... So..I'm going home on Monday the 28th of May to hang with my folks for a week, and I'm going to try to find out the scoop and see what I can do..If anyone deserves the first scoop its you so...My email address is the [email protected].. Again, I enjoyed your website, and I hope there is some truth in this rumor, maybe we'll get a chance to get killed together. Casey T.
Hello:

I enjoyed sleepawaycamp.org very much ... fantastic site! I thought you might be interested to know that there is a 1971 film entitled "Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things" that features a transvestite character named "Aunt Martha." Coincidence??

Thanks

I am recently new at watching the movies. I quite enjoyed Sleepaway Camp and I thought that Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers was okay, not that bad! But I must agree that Sleepaway Camp 3: Teenage Wasteland was horrible! Even the name was horrible! I wanted to know your opinion on Return to Sleepaway Camp. Do you think it will take place at Arawak? The charcters returning are Ronnie, Ricky and actually I just found out at this site that Felissa Rose will be Angela once again and not Pamela Springsteen. Well just email me your thoughts. Thanks! My email is [email protected].
Hello I was just wondering if Sleepaway Camp was gonna have a number 4 or not b/c I havn't heard anything for sure b/c I know in the past there were roomers that they were gonna start one but it didn't exactly work out. Is this for sure and is Pamela or Felissa returning as the Angela? If you don't mind, could you please e-mail me back on this info please. Thank you so much for your time. Brian
Hello,

An easy question. Will Sleepaway Camps 2-3 be relased at all on DVD, or do you know? I was andering because I like to have all three. Will they release the first one in a special edition because a friend of mine has the director's cut, and I'd love to see the first be rereleased in that format. Please email me back at [email protected] Thankx,
Trynax
