Via Jeff Hayes, the news of the Return is as follows; cast members Jonathan Tiersten (Ricky), Paul DeAngelo (Ronnie), and Felissa Rose (Angela) will be returning to the big screen. Although word of whether or not Felissa Rose will be reprising her role as Angela is unconfirmed, I am guessing it's either A)NAY and noone's willing to leak it out due to the dissapointment it would bring to us fans, or B)YAY and noone's leaking it out because they don't want to ruin the surprise. Sometime in 2000, an official announcement was made at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors Sleepaway Camp reunion. Writer/Director Robert Hiltzik announced he was planning to make another Sleepaway Camp movie. Stating it would be his sequel to his movie, it would be called "Return To Sleepaway Camp". Status of the movie was uncertain from the beginning and no word has been heard since August 2002.

According to the "official" party, Return To Sleepaway Camp had been signed, sealed and delivered. Fans were even told production had begun. But the release date had been costantly set back and news of the fabled sequel seemed to wane with the passing of time. Depsite promises and false information being spoonfed into the mouths of fans by the "official" website for Sleepaway Camp, the movie was never made.

Sources confirm that the script(s) were seen, rejected and ultimately the project was forfeited due to lack of support and funds. Opinions have been stated that Return To Sleepaway Camp was nothing more than media hype and just a publicity stunt to gain attention.

No word on the current status of Return To Sleepaway Camp.
