Shinya's drumming skills have progressed a lot from the time of thier first major album GAUZE to the second album MACABRE. Anyone not convinced please listen to Myaku. I just ADORE the amazing beat of this song, it is so unique & his drum solo in the middle is very cool. Macabre is another song that showed Shinya's drumming skills. The intro has a touch of Japanese traditional drumming style to it & when it comes to the middle part, where Kyo's voice resided and with only the instruments set in, his drumming is indeed the vital part carrying the song through. Shinya tends to use many different drum patterns within one song and changes tempo quite oftenly. This adds to the complexity of songs and gives them varying atmosphere even within the same song. Love the drumming in 304 goushitsu hakushi no sakura, MACABRE and Myaku...
