Graphics potrays a model of a scene that is in the human mind or a real scene. Some scenes might be unrealistic or impossible to be created without the use of Graphics. Its uses range from arts to game scenes to building designs and simulations. It has been used extensively to benefit its users. Graphics has been moving rapidly from a 2d representation to a 3D model. With a 3D model , depths and lightings have played a larger part and allows a more realistic depiction. The improvement of hardware for graphics with faster processing and larger memory space has allowed more complex objects to be developed .3D enthusiasts have also created a lot of softwares that are being extended daily to assist the development.
Come 2005 we might be doing Radiosity rendering in realtime. When that happens, there will be another huge leap towards photo-realism in computer games. (Until now, most games use pre-calculated radiosity rendered shadow-maps applied as secondary textures).Or maybe we wont even be rendering polygons. Maybe we'll be rendering NURBS or some other type of curved surfaces directly, without the need of converting them to polygons. 100% realistically rendered humans may be the final milestone to achieve before computer graphics really can replace anything.
