| ::Skip to my Lou Program:: Here are the dribbling exercises that skip used (or still does) to get his handles so good on both hands. The emphasis is on knowing where the ball is and getting a feel of the ball with both hands and on either side of each hand without looking, this is why skip can dribble so fast left handed V pound in between the legs as you see him do on volume 5 ::Exercises:: :: Spider Dribble Drible the ball from front left to front right then back threw the legs to back left, then cross to back right, then back to the front to front left then cross to front right then back to back left and so on and so on. Do this untill you feel it 'working' in your weaker hand, it will burn a little, like a soar arm. :: V dribble Gets your hand used to the feel of the ball on both sides, this is good for both crossovers and inside out moves, it will get to the point where you can stand up fully and dribble back and forth across your body like a cross in one hand. :: Windmill Go back and forth threw your legs in reverse motion with your feet on the spot, will make you be able to spin with the ball quickly and bring it behind your back legs when pressured on defence, shows defence you have total control of ball. :: Pound 1-2 crossover master this and use this in the hestiation, this will stun defenders and give you space when they go the wrong way from your fake. Use with inside out. :: Figure eight master this and you have total ball control, vary it in direction, speed and height of bounce :: Crab dribble Same as spider dribble but behind your back and walking forwards and backwards in a crouched position Got a program to submit? email me |
