In May of 2001, the students in St. Bernard's 4th grade class participated in the New York Statewide Testing Program (NYSTP) in mathematics. In the fall of 2001, the school received the results of that test. Of the 20 students taking the test, 50% scored in the highest performance level (Performance Level 4), 40% of the students taking the test scored in the next highest performance level (Performace Level 3), and 10% of the students taking the test scored in Performance Level 2. No St. Bernard's students scored in the lowest level (performance Level 1).
