The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society Inc. has been operating since 1989 when Sheila Birchley directed My Fair Lady. Since then the society has produced one major Musical Comedy each year and one smaller entertainment most years.
The society is a fully ameteur organisation that is largely self funding with support from some local businesses over the years.
While the society is ameteur the productions are always professional and polished with lavish sets and costumes to support great acting and well rehearsed harmonies. The Shows are held in Kingaroy Town Hall, although the society is looking for it's own home.
