Passage of Bad Mouthing Law in New Jersey : Upon Immigration to USA, I was forced to take MS Level jobs, by my in-laws, at a Fragrance company and work for a Lady from Madras with PhD from India. The Vice-President, a fellow Bengali, asked me to solve a problem that Prof. George Buchi at MIT reported a failure. My plan was approved by Prof. Gilbert Stork of Columbia University. Out of jealousy she engaged in incessant complains, created blockages and sabotage. To buy peace I had to go. I lost opportunities elsewhere due to her adverse lies. Then at other places I got hired, harassed and fired by people from Madras. I switched career to computers still the results were the same. The emphasis on reference letters put flatterers in jobs who harass efficient people. Capable folks were not tolerated well due to their surpassing abilities. The Managers were also good letters and want the easy solution in buying peace. I lost jobs for their lack of ability and not control the abuse. I wrote to then New Jersey Governor, Jim Florio and the Legislatures who passed the law of Badmouthing which protect applicants from injurious comments by the supervisors. |

Elimination of High Occupancy Vehicle Lane(HOVC) from New Jersey: One day while going to work at American Cyanamid at Pearl River, NY I found a long traffic jam on Rt. 80E for several towns due to some accident. I took the 80E Express but everyone was going to Geroge Washington Bridge to cross the Hudson River to Manhattan. I was to take Palisades Parkway. I saw the 'Exit' sign and got out. I was ticketted since it was also a Diamond Lane. Exit sign is for anybody. It was boring to see people come to the court to pay fines. I was called at 11 PM. I lost. The Public Prosecutor objected to my crossing the officer which was over-ruled on my request. I found racial discriminations in the judgements. A Chinese lady who stopped to get a receipt was ticketted for speeding. A Spanish guy who worked nearby for many years and showed pictures lost. While a white guy was acquitted. A white lady was freed whose turning lights were not working. I wrote to the Governor Christine Todd Whitman, and the legislatores to remove the HOVC lanes which was done. I also asked to remove the Judge. The two points assessed by the insurance company for surcharge was pardoned. |

Suspended twice without any notifications: I got suspended twice for parking tickets without any notice from the Violation Bureau at Newark, NJ. I learned after years from a report by 'Privacy Guard'. The VB showed 4 dates of notifications. I appeared the court for other tickets and had a picture of a washed out parking sign. Why would I ignore these tickets? Upon my request to the Mayor Sharpe B. James, the Intelligence Branch investigated for a possible nexus with Privacy Guard to force us enroll. On my request Paul Mulshine of Star-Ledger published an article on the Sunday before my hearing date. The summons did not have informations to be legally valid. The Judge Claude M. Coleman and Judge Diana Montes were both impressed. I also got refunds of the restoration fees paid to DMV. The Judges now wave when we meet. Assemblywoman Joan Quigley also initiated an administrative inquiriy. Now when I wait in line at VB the Chief, Rebeca Mason or Ms. Jackson greet me, come forward and offer helps. |

Woodbridge Police gave two tickets for one fault of 'Driving while Suspended', as mentioned above, on a rainy night at 10:30PM, while getting back from computer lab deferring Dinner. I had to leave my car and take Train, Bus and walk 6 blocks to return home all wet at Midnight. I already had restoration letters. I wrote to Governor Whitman, DMV Chief CR Kamin, Woodbridge Mayor Jim McGreevey about the uncalled for sufferings. The Public Prosecutor did not let me speak but pleaded for dismissal. |

Jersey City Traffic Court stopped rescheduling if the officer was absent. I went 4 times and stayed late nights and the officer did not show up. I wrote to the Presiding Judge Jeremiyah T Healy, a Mayoral candidate, that in front of a Judge there is a Plaintiff and a Defendant and not a Criminal and a Police Officer. By repeated absences the Plaintiff failed to press charges. A Judge cannot insist upon a trial if the Plaitiff is reluctant. A Judge cannot insist a Divorce if the Plaintiff remains absent. A Judge cannot grant anything if it is not asked for and the officer did not ask for a postponement. The clerck called me threatening an arrest warrant but I refuesd to appear. The case was dismissed in absentia. |

Disappointed at Allentown, Pennsylvania I had a job interview from IBM at Reading, PA. Mr. Steve Fiscaletti chose to meet me at client Lucent site, Allentown to save me another 45 mins at 10 AM. It was 75 miles from Newark and I left at 8 AM. On Rt 23 So I found road jam for construction works. After languishing for long I saw the Airport Road exit and it was 10 to 10. I drove 100 yds on the shoulder and got a ticket just at the end. The officer was watching the show from a hilltop. I explained of my emergency but got a ticket for $103 which was originally $50. I was worried if he gets into meetings with clients or see another candidate and I get less time. I was of the impression that for unusual road conditions and on emergency I can take the shoulder. I saw it everyday while getting back from work near Holland Tunnel exit in presense of Police. What is the rational for make people suffer for no reasons? It was abuse of rules. I made a written appeal which got rejected. In the final stage I also lost costing me $200. This is total disregard to our plights and rights. I did not pursue it anymore. |

Miscellaneous:
Many times I wrote to Congress, Newspapers, TV news media, NJ/NY/PA Lawmakers, House committees and to the President on various issues.
1) To put cap on Health care malpractice liability awards.
2) To provide Universal Healthe care as a duty of the Government.
3) To provide more drugs as non-prescription.
4) To support of the most-efficient President of America ever, William Jefferson Clinton, as not to interfere with anybody's private life while no harm was done. It was a much ado for political vendetta at public's money. He did what we all would have under the conditions. Some use sex to advance career and pray on powerful people.
5) Stock market manipulations by Analysts and Alan Greenspan in favor of Big FIs. Market is supposed to move on a company's performance and news and due some baseless motivated predictions.
6) Pause bombing at Kosovo and demand Miloschevic to comply without negotiations.
7) Discourage Pakistan on incessant aggression on Kashmir.
8) Gun Control and total ban. |
