Notable Alumni
(that Coach Phenom recruited)
Rod Parsley 6'9" C/PF
Attributes: FGGGFF (G in rebounding came the week before he graduated)
Rod never got any publicity for his contribution to the team, likely because he couldn't hit the ocean if he fell out of a boat, but he was a valuable 4 year starter nonetheless.  He played his first two years at C because the team had no other player above 6'7".  He actually shot nearer to 50% then.  When Shawn Rawlings came to fill the middle, Parsley slid down to SF to take advantage of his ball handling skills.  He got about 3 apg each of those last two seasons.  But the move to SF dropped him to about a 30% shooter.  Was a favorite of the coach because of how he stood up in the middle in those lean first couple of seasons.
This page was originally going to cover most alumni, but over time, that will get too big.  Now it will be used sort of like Coach Jerem's Wall of Honor; reserved for players that were very good but not team HOF caliber.
Jamaal Riddle  6'6" SG
Attributes:  GGFGPG
I guess you could say Riddle was a good understudy to Nate Napper his first two seasons, but he really didn't do much studying.  In those first two years there were a few stretches in which he would get into the starting lineup, but he wasn't a consistent performer.  But he was the best scoring threat on the team in his final two seasons.  In Season 10, when everybody on the team went into a season long shooting slump, Riddle was normally the brightest light on a 20-4 team.  And he really blew up in his senior season, just as Nate Napper did.  And just as with Napper, the team ended up in the National Championship game.  But when Riddle got there, the team won thanks to his superior supporting cast.  Fell just short of joining Napper in the program's Hall of Fame.
