Jerry Brisco |
Real Name: Jerry Brisco Stage Name: Date of Birth: 24 January 1950 Home Town: Height: 6'2" Weight: 210lb Brief Bio: An institution in the World Wrestling Federation for more than 20 years, Gerald Brisco, along with his brother Jack were among the greatest teams of their era. The duo were one of the best-known teams in the world, and they won nearly 20 tag team championships together: two N.W.A North American Tag Team titles, eight Florida Tag championships, five N.W.A. U.S. Tag Team titles, and three N.W.A. World Tag Team titles. Jack and Jerry's family feud with Dory and Terry Funk is one of wrestlings most heated, bitter, and longest-running (and for the promoters of the day, one of the most profitable) feuds of all-time. For over five years, the two teams battled for supremacy and family pride all across the globe, with no clear-cut winner of the multi-year feud The earlier 80's saw both brothers in the WWF, while Jack Brisco slowly began appearing less and less on TV, and retired from wrestling in the mid-1980's. Jerry stayed with the WWF, working in the front office in a number of different positions for the company. This saw Jerry Brisco and Pat Patterson, working for Vince McMahon as completely loyal "associates", whether Vince needs a cup of coffee, a special (presumably biased) referee, or even a warm body for a wrestling match against one of his archrivals, Vince calls on the "associates." And they respond -- even if they know they're in for a good beating. Before they were Mr. McMahons loyal "yes men," both Patterson and Brisco enjoyed considerable success in the squared circle. Patterson was the very first Intercontinental Champion, while Brisco was part of a legendary tag team with his brother Jack as above.
