Room 063A: Undergrad Geology Lounge, Earth & Space Science Building, Wednesday, campus lifetime |
The Stony Brook Geology Club meets Wednesday during campus lifetime in 063A Earth and Space Science building. At this time we discuss plans or ideas for future field trips, and events that the geology club participates with the Geosciences Department in. We also use this time to just hang out. Contribution to this website is strongly encouraged by members of Geo Club, and suggestions are welcome from anyone. All activities hosted by us are open to anyone at Stony Brook.
USE SPARINGLY!!!
This website uses free space from
geocities.com. What this means is that many hits to the page will make their
software think we are running a business, and as a penalty, it will shut down
and not load for at least an hour. Funny, when they do this they display
advertisements instead of our page. But in case you have gotten an error message
that is the situation.
Members
By joining Geo Club you will be the first exposed to many different opportunities in the geology field. Graduate Students in the Geosciences often are involved in activities with the club, and in return, they invite the club members to assist in their fieldwork. Meeting people with similar interests is also a benefit by joining the club. We are also the first informed on Long Island Geologist's dinners, field trips, geology open night and other conferences.
Discussion and Events
All questions, discussion, and events will be announced here:

Pictures
Taking photos is a must on any field trip.
