* Contributed to the design of a next generation SDH / SONET terminal multiplexer. Responsibilities included studying standards and recommendations, reviewing and writing functional specification documents.
* Developed embedded applications for carrying Ethernet and TDM traffic over SDH / SONET using next generation SONET components. This required porting, configuring and integrating low-level device drivers as well as building management and monitoring modules at higher layers.
* Created applications for managing and testing embedded components such as ATM and SDH / SONET terminating devices. This involved studying components� data sheets, writing configuration documents, test documents and test scenarios.
* Implemented Board Support Packages (BSP) for pSOSystems and vxWorks real time operating systems. This required knowledge in microprocessor architecture and RTOS building blocks.
* Contributed to the design of an SDH / SONET monitoring and terminating device. Responsibilities required writing embedded configuration and management modules. It also required communicating with vendors and acting as a technical advisor for software team.
* Contributed to the development of an Ethernet switch device. Responsibilities included writing management and configuration embedded modules using assembly, C and C++ programming languages. It also required deep understanding for the IEEE LAN standards such as Ethernet and IP.
* Experienced most up-to-date communication technologies such as next generation SONET, link capacity adjustment protocol (LCAS), virtual concatenation, generic framing procedure (GFP), ATM, TDM, Ethernet and TCP / IP.
