The beginning of 2009 has been filled with new and wonderful happenings at the sanctuary. This website, is just one of those. Below are just a few of the exciting things going on at the sanctuary right now:

• The new addition is complete! The addition that was begun in the fall of 2008 is now fully operational. It is serving as our new clinic, and also a home for some of our education birds. The eye-level windows allow guests to see into the clinic, and into the cages of some of the birds. Currently, our Kestrels, Pied Crow, and two of our aviary birds reside there.
• The sanctuary has a new vehicle! Just this month we obtained a new van. It's currently being fitted with new graphics for the sanctuary and will be used for transporting birds, school field trips and programs.

• This website is also new. Though it is still under going some constructing, it's a much needed refresher from the last website. If you would like to help this site become the best it can be, email your suggestions to [email protected]. It will be much appreciated.

The Sanctuary is also looking forward to this summer, when even more new and exciting programs will be happening, such as:

• Story Time in the Nest: Story Time in the Nest will be a Saturday afternoon program (1:30 P.M.) at the sanctuary that will be geared towards children and their families. It will include a short story, craft, and a small bird show. Their will be 4 different stories, one for each week of the month, and at the beginning of each month the story rotation will start again from the beginning. Check the calendar of events for starting dates.
• New Trails: With the purchase of new land from the Boy Scouts, the sanctuary is already planning out new trails to be designed once winter's grip loosens up.
• Night Camp!: Night Camp! will be coming in the month of March to the sanctuary. More information will soon be available on the Kid's Camp Page, so keep checking back.
