Chapter 8 The final morning only three of us were able to get up and so Edd, Mogoot and George headed off for another Santa Fe breakfast. We collected a huge amount of croissants for Saz and Emma and returned. We quickly packed up our stuff (we had to leave the room by 11.00, or we'd be locked in forever, with only croissants, ice and soap to eat.) We then put our buggage on the buggage trolley and said farewell to our rooms, very sadly. We took our stuff to the buggage room and were able to leave it there for free. We then caught the bus to the Park and made a bee line for the Fastpass queue in "Big thunder Mountain". George went off and died in the heat but was later found and resucitated by the others. Next we went to the infamous Autopia (Spelling please!) and died of the heat again in an open air queue. George and Mogoot got in a red Ferrari-style sports car, followed by Saz in another, and then Edd and Emma. George's car was a bit similiar to the fans in the hotel room- working at speeds of "off" or "slow boat to China". At the latter speed it was given to over heating, as demonstated by other unfortunate cars. George had her foot "welded to the floor" (thats Jeremy Clarkson, the idiot) but the car happily took the slow boat to china option. Enough on that. Luch was at the "Mulan" show which was amazing- or at least the soundtrack was, as we didn't see that much. We stood up and ate burgers and watched the dancers almost kill them selves, climbing poles, throwing each other in the air etc. We then left the Park, with great sadness but happy memories. We decided to have an ice cream in the previously mentioned "Annetts" ice cream parlour. The waitresses and waiters were on roller skates and Emma was about to ask them what would happen if they fell over while carrying an order, when we were given small "Noughts and Crosses" games and shown to a seat in the centre of the cafe. With the exception of Mogoot, we had hot fudge ice creams which were very nice. Nice-diddely nice nice. We then ran off to the disney Store to get souvenirs and gifts for our much loved friends and followers. Edd bought a hoodie for his sister and George a pen for her brother. Emma and Saz also spent a fortune. Deciding that walking back along the river path would be faster, we returned to the hotel to get our buggage. We then dashed on to the bus and sat regaining our breath as the bus took us to the Euro* station. Saying goodbye to Saz, we walked into the Euro* customs area and showed our passports, complete with embarrassing photos. Edd dropped half his stuff all over the floor but soon gathered it up again. We boarded the Euro* and sat down, wondering how it was that everything had gone so well. With a little help from The Spiritual Mark. The train journey was quite relaxing, Emma still worrying about the safety of the Channel Tunnel, though. The RC balloon was squeezed into the overhead buggage shelf, the frog looking more stupid than ever, and George wondering if it would explode, scaring children on the train. We also discussed ways of making ourselves look 18- Emma had faked her birth certificate and George looked about 18, it was decided. However Jamie's balloon was discussed at length- would it give us away???? 18 year olds don't carry balloons! Chapter 9 > > > |
