Foxy's Poem

Here is a poem that I wrote for Laura and Foxy.

She was so beautiful, it made my heart ache.
The rocky height of the mountains towered.
Was water tumbled down in a cascade to the lake.
Her eyes were deep dark pools of magic.

The adjacent mountains shouldered against the sky.
She galloped on, free as a bird, head held high.
She ran through wet grass, into the depths.
Through icy waves she galloped and leapt.

I was held in a place of nameless terror.
I had to leave you, the day had come I had to go.
I was lost in a sense of total unreality.
I stroked you and you whickered to me low.

A tear rolled down my already tear streaked face.
As I had to leave you, leave you in this place.
I wonder does anybody see the fear again
Does anybody ever feel the pain?

The glittering brilliance of the sea.
Shone on her coat as she galloped free.
She was the thing all my dreams laid upon.
Blowing wide nostrils, then she was gone.

One day I hope that you shall forgive.
And one day again together we'll live.
One day I'll find you somehow, someway.
And then together forever we'll stay.
