Prolouge: The First Soldier

"BEEP--BEEP--BEEP--BEE." The alarm clock announced it to be 7:00 and was abruptly cut off as my hand flew out from under the covers and hit the button on its top. I lifted my head from were it was buried in my pillow, my black hair a tangled mass around me. I tried to remember why I hadn't put it up last night. I lifted my self from bed with a groan 'It's Monday alright'
I trudged to the bathroom to find the door locked and I could hear my little brothers humming from inside. I pounded on the door. "GOKU! GET OUT OF THERE NOW!" I screeched at him through the door.
The door peaked open and Goku popped out looked at me and smiled. "Your hairs a mess." He announced.
"Yes, that's a brilliant observation you've made there. Unfortunately, unlike yours, my hair doesn't stay in one place ALL the time." I said mocking him and his spiky hair. He grumbled something and marched downstairs. I happily took over the bathroom and proceeded to brush my hair out. After I had hanging straight again I went to work combing out my bangs that parted funnily reveling the center of my forehead. I ran back to my room and pulled on my school uniform.
"Siconja! Breakfests ready." My Mom yelled from downstairs.
"Coming!" I squealed already running down the stairs. I quickly took up my place at the table were my family was waiting, as soon as I got there we all began to eat. I soon was gulping down the last of my breakfast. "Bye Mom, bye dad. See you this afternoon." I called as I ran out the front door picking up my backpack and lunch and raced towards Lita's house.
Her Mom answered the door and called Lita from the breakfast table just as they were finishing. "Hi Siconja." She said cheerily as she came out of the house. As we walked to school a bunch of boys ran out in front of us and I practically tripped over one of them. The leader had a black cat and was pulling its tail.
I stepped in front of him. "Why don't you leave that cat alone." I said and flicked out my tail for emphasis. The boy grinned sheepishly and put the cat down and ran off with the other boys. I gentally picked up the cat who had a bandage across her forehead. I peeled it off and saw what momentarily appeared to be a bald spot but after that reveled itself to be a golden circle on her forehead and it glinted a bit in the sunlight. I blinked and looked again.
But then that cat came to its sences and struggled free. She leaped ontop of a trash can and stared at me. They depth of her stare began to freak me out and I backed off and rejoned Lita on the street as we continued our walk to school.
We got to school just five minutes away from the bell and I had to run to get to class. I scooted into my seat just seconds before the Mrs. Kalun walked in. She was putting away her things when somthing sharp poked me in the back and I just kept myself from yelping. I turned to see Nicaruagja, that jerk, looking innocent. I glared and turned again in my seat. Mrs. Kalun started her lecture, I settled in for another long day.

I sighed and walked out of my class and met Lita at the front of the school. We began our walk home as we chatted about our day. We passed a antique dealer on the way and something in the window caught my eye. I stopped and Lita looked back to see why I had stopped. I stared into the window at a small object sitting on a velevet cosion. It was a brooch or locket of some sort. It was made out of pure gold and had a beautiful design on it. It had a twin crescent moon backround with a pink gem resting in the center with red, green, pink, blue and orange gems surronding it. It glinted in the sunlight.
Lita peered through the window at it and gasped "Oh its beautiful." I cheacked my back pack and saw I had some money.
"I'm going to buy it." I declared. Lita looked up and followed me into the store. I walked up to the counter where the owner was standing. I pointed to the brooch in the window and asked him about it.
"It's a very rare brooch one of a set. Some say its one of the five henshin broochs of the Royal Sailors of the old Sayin Kingdom, but there were only three of those so I don't beleive it. To tell you the truth it just showed up on the counter one morning and I've been waiting to find the right person to give it to." He said.
Suddenly from behind him the cat from this morning jumped out. She stared at me. "Is this your cat?" I asked him.
"Actually no, she was sitting next to that brooch when I found it and shes been living here ever since." he said. The cat jumped to my shoulder sniffed my once and started nuzzling me.
"Well I'd like to buy that brooch, how much does it cost?" I asked.
"Much more than you have I'm sure. But...I like you and as I said I'm looking for someone to give it to and since the cat likes you so much I think I'll give it to you." He said and pulled out his keys and unlocked the display case and took it out.
"Oh no I couldn't possibly just take it." I said.
"I want you to have, you deserve it." he said.
"Well...if you insit." I said questioningly.
"Yes I do."
I took it from his hand and said "Thank you."
"Your welcome." He said. I walked out of the store with Lita and I pinned the brooch onto the bow of my school uniform. It glinted in the sunlight and I think the gem in the center glowed a little.

I lay on my bed fiddling with the brooch trying to figure out what made it so special besides that fact that it was made out of solid gold and the gems were real. There was a sudden breeze and I looked up because my window wasn't open. I stared in astonishment because it was. Then there was a shadow across my face and I looked to see the cat. "Why hello kitty...what are you doing here, if I didn't know better I'd think you were following me." I said.
"Actually I am." The cat stated matter of factly. My jaw dropped.
"Oh my God the cat just talked. The cat is talking." I stated quite calmly.
"I am in the right place... yes I must be you have the steller brooch. I'm Pearl and I have been sent here in short to find you and several other mystical fighters called the Royal Sailors." The cat said.
'Okay the cat is talking and says I'm some Shenshi or something, better play along.' "Okay, lets suppose you were right. But how do you know I'm the person your looking for?" I asked.
"One you have the steller brooch and two I can sense that your the one." Pearl said.
"I still don't see..." I said.
"You don't beleive me. I see you need some proof. Well just say 'Sayin Prism Power!' and you'll have all the proof you need." Pearl said.
"Allright here it goes. 'SAYIN PRISM POWER!'"I yelled. I throw my hand up in the air and my fingernails are painted in a flash of light. The flash blinds me temporarily and I throw my arms out to my side and let them fall some. I stop and my brooch lets off a flash of light, which changes into ribbons that form a body suit. I lift my leg up some and more ribbons form a extremly short skirt. I cross my arms and bring them down in front of me and ribbons fly around them and form small white and lilac kid gloves hanging lose at my wrists. I stand on my tiptoes and ribbons fly around my legs to form boots. I tuck my leg up under me with my other leg pointed and my head down. I throw back my head and a point of light forms on my forehead, which changes into a tiara jewel, and the rest of the tiara grows around it. Hair jewels, earrings, and choker form and I take a pose.
"OH MY GOD! This is so wicked cool. I'm like Sailormoon! And look my hairs like Neo-Queen Serenity's neato!" I cried.
"I see you like it." Pearl said. "You are Sailorsayin, one of the Royal Sailor Shenshi. Whenever your in trouble just yell those words and you'll be instantly transformed. Your here to fight the evil that is rising and find the other Royal Sailors, the Jou Ginzuishou, and the reincarnated Sayin Queen so she can use the Jou Ginzuishou to defeat the evil."
"Aw man this is wicked cool, wait till I show Lita." I squealed.
"Now Siconja this is not a game these are real people that are in danger, these are people's lives we're playing with." Pearl snapped at me impantiently. That calmed me down fast.
"Okay then but tell me the whole story. And ...uh...how do I get out of this outfit?" I asked.
"Oh yes." Pearl said embaressed. "You just picture yourself in what you were wearing and you'll de transform." I did what she said and a shimmery mist surronded me and instantly I was back to normal.
"So tell me about this Shenshi stuff." I said and plopped myself back on the bed.
"Well...you are familar with the legend of the old sayin kingdom? Well Back then your Sayin Queen and Grand Duchess reigned over a peaceful nation and kept the peace with the Queen's Jou Ginzuishou, a mystical gem that was very powerful, and the Grand Duchess's Gin Chuushin, a mystical stone that was powerful but less so than the Jou Ginzuishou. But some rebels they had to exil came back and caught them unprepaired. Their kingdom lost and the queen used the Jou Ginzuishou's power to send her Royal Sailors, the royals that perished, and herself to the future. Unfortunitly as soon as the task was complete the Jou Ginzuishou did not go into hiding withen a pure heart as planned, instead in shattered into eight smaller gems called the Jou Hari, or the Imperial crystal's. They did infact go into pure hearts, four HUMAN and three SAYIN. Now unlike the Jou Ginzuishou, the Gin Chuushin was sent into hidiing in the reicarnated Grand Duchess's own pure heart and when the Jou Ginzuishou is reformed than it will appear, revealing the Grand Duchess at the same time. When all these crystals are found and togther legend says that the power of junsui ai will bring them toghter to form the Jou Ginzuishou. You are Bishoujo Shenshi Sailorsayin leader of the Roiyaru no Shenshi. It is your job to find your co-leader and the three original Roiyaru no Shenshi, then toghther you will find the Jou Ginzuishou, the Sayin Queen and Grand Duchess." Pearl stated.
"Wow, leader huh. Pretty neat but this is a lot, why are you telling me I'm just a kid, I mean really what can I do?" I asked.
"Your the chosen one, only you can activate the mystical powers of the steller locket and transform into Sailorsayin, no one else can do this job. Please will you help us, fight the evil, and find the Sayin Queen and her Jou Ginzuishou. Please without you I don't beleive we can." Pearl begged. I clutched my brooch in my hands, suddenly I felt a power surging through me, an acient urging that this was my destiny.
"Alright, I'll do it. But one more question how do I fight and what do I fight?" I stated and asked.
"Well usually you'll fight something called a youma. And you fight it with your special attacks you create with your powers unfortunitly I've forgotten yours but I'm sure one of us will remember when the time comes." Pearl said.
"Great." I said with a sarcastic roll of my eyes.
"Oh and I'll stay with you." Pearl said.
"WHAT?" I yelled staring at her in disbelief.
"Well I'm your guardiun cat, I need to be with you." She said.
"Oh, okay." I sighed.

My husband stood in front of me on a balcony. A blast of Dark light hit him in the cheast and he fell dead. "Nooooooooooo." I screamed. I looked down at my feet and saw my best freind and her husband lying there. I concentrated my mind and a glittering heart shapped crystal appeared in my hands as the tears ran down my face it began to glow as I wishpered "I will not let your sacrifice be in vain." I lifted the crystal above my head and it let out a brilliant light and cries of dark things screaming in pain filled the air. The strain finnally took over me and I fell and saw no more.
