| A long time ago, when I was much younger--alive, if you want me to be precise--I lived in a village of thieves called Kul Elna. I had a small family with no brothers and sisters. My mother's name was Hizuyuri, and my father was named Rakikai Sr. Those two loved me more than anyone could ever imagine. They worked hard to keep me happy, and for a long time, they did an excellent job. However, once I turned six years old, the pharaoh had many projects that he wanted completed by a certain time, and that he couldn't do alone. So, he forced certain adults from certain families in my village to work for him. I was too young to accompany my own parents when they were forced to go. Without my family at home to tend to the crops in our garden, the plants quickly died. Thank goodness the pharaoh supplied my mother and father with one slice of bread each, and one drink of water. They split their "meals" in half, and each night, they left the food on our kitchen table for me to eat the next day. This went on for three more years. Finally, the projects were completed, and my family was able to reunite. But since our crops were gone, we didn't have any food. There was no way to eat, so we were forced to steal it, or try to rummage through the garbage to find an apple core, or sometimes the occasional piece of garlic. When I turned ten, the worst tragedy of all occured. The pharaoh discovered that, beneath our village, was the Millennium Stone. If all seven Millennium Items were placed in the stone, Zorc the Dark One would be reborn, and create chaos and darkness beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Afraid of the stone being used for evil in the hands of "petty" thieves, King Aknenkanen sent his servants to explore our village, and find weaknesses in our civilization. In only four days, the unthinkable happened. In the dark of the night, all of the pharaoh's henchmen came and burned down each home, and slaughtered each of the people in my village. I was awakened by the screams of my best friends, and quickly rushed into the kitchen. There, I found my father and mother... both dead. Terrified, I burst outside, and hid in the darkest and quietest area I could find. Sure enough, they didn't spot me, and left Kul Elna in ruins. That was when Diabound was born. Hatred and anger formed in my heart. Those two ingredients formed a wicked spirit, which not only feasted off of my darkness, but made me grow more and more evil. It told me that with its power, I would get revenge on the ones who dared to hurt those close to me. Years went by, and I was chased by the pharaoh's men left and right, considering me to be the last of the job that was never completed. One day, I was indeed caught, but escaped that night when the guards fell asleep. That was when I decided to do what I had been waiting to do since I was a small boy: kill the pharaoh. There was a new king at the present time, but since he was the son of the murderer who killed my people, I didn't care. I robbed one more tomb before I went on my way, stealing a robe, pleanty of jewelry, and the mummy of Aknenkanen. I kicked it into the pharaoh's throne room, and brought out Diabound to take him down. However, he defeated me, and I was forced to retreat. In a few days, I accomplished many things that my family would be very proud of. I stole the Millennium Ring from Mahaad, killing him in the process, transformed Akhenaden into my personal slave, and... still ate my good vegetables. Man, garlic is good. Anyway, in the final battle between the pharaoh and me, Zorc Necrophades ended up being reincarnated, and Atem sent out his three Egyptian God monsters. Zorc easily beat them, but the pharaoh sacrificed his soul to seal him away inside of the Millennium Stone, me in the Ring, and himself in the Millennium Puzzle. If all seven Items were placed in the stone slab, Zorc would be reborn, and if the pharaoh and I managed to find a human host's body to inhabit, we too would be brought back into the world. Yes, for three thousand years, I was all alone, growing more and more insane, and yes, it was really cramped in there, but sure enough, Ryou Bakura's idiot of a father found the Ring lying innocently at the local bazaar. He mailed it to his son, and the fool just put it right around his neck--and I thought... "I'm back, baby!!" |
