Bob probably singing "Strokin"

Bob enjoys music both listening to it and singing and playing
his saxophone.
He has played in bands in the past, of which the Jorrel's
(as in Superman's Papa) was the largest and the best. It had a great horn
section and played the songs of Chicago (the Band) and a lot of good jazz.
It was very active in the early 70's but then as the members moved and
or grew more busy with their own families it became a "once in an
occasion" type band. They played a lot of Holiday's and New Year celebrations.
Bob's first love was the clarinet which he became very good
at. Then ,promising to keep up with the clarinet, his parents bought him
a saxophone. He learned to play it with quite a bit of proficiency and
loved the sound it belted out.
His collection soon grew to include a Flute, Alto Sax, Clarinet,
an ancient piccolo of his grandfather's, and most recently the soprano
saxophone ala Kenny G. We enjoy making the dogs howl along with the alto
sax. The neighbors probably think we are nuts most times and we agree!
Most recently he played in a band called Lady's Rule, later
changed to Steppin Out. They played mostly oldies of the late 50's 60's
and 70's and all the way into the 90's. Bob's newest addition to the voice
side of his talents was The Hoochie Coochie Man by Eric Clapton. He also
did the Wonderful Tonight song with a flute solo. He sometimes had to juggle
instruments while trying to readjust the microphone to sing afterwards.
One time the wire from the microphone tangled into his lower keys of the
saxophone for a really original sound!
