Mildred "Millie" Michalke
April 20, 1925

I first met Millie when we were kids and she rented an apartment from my parents.I used to think her name was Mrs. Chalky because she had very white teeth and I didn't understand that my Mom was addressing her as Mrs. Michalke. Years later her son and my sister met when they were teenagers and later married. Steve was my sister's husband's and he had a sister Carol. After several years of marriage, Teresa introduced Carol to one of our brother's, Dennis, and they later were married. So Millie was a mother-in-law to two of my siblings.
Millie worked for many years as a waitress supporting her three children Steven, Carol and James "Butch". She was a devoted mother and later grandmother and great grandmother. She used to come to the house of my mother and visit her often while she was still alive. Millie will be missed by a lot of family and friends and remembered as a cheerful, upbeat person.
I am sure she is up in heaven chatting away filling everyone in on what went on after they left the physical life.
