::::::  E-Mail Forwards  ::::::

While reading forwards, you might have noticed that we have to scroll a lot to finally arrive at the message. This is because the person who previously forwarded it did not care to delete the addresses that usually appear in the message area of the compose page. If we all take the initiative to delete the addresses, it will make it all the more easier to read forwards and will make it all the more fun. This will definitely ensure good reading.

::::::  In Case of Emergency (ICE)   ::::::

We all carry our mobile phones with hundreds of names / numbers stored in its memory but yet nobody, other than ourselves, know which of these numbers belong to our near and dear ones?

 In case we are involved in an accident or had a heart attack and the people attending us get hold of our mobile phone but don't know which number to call to inform our family members. Yes, there are many numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency?

 For this reason, we must have one or more telephone numbers stored under the name ICE (In case of Emergency) in our mobile phones.

 Recently, the concept of 'ICE' is catching up quickly. It is simple, an important method of contact during emergency situations.

As cell phones are carried by majority of the population, just store the number of a contact person or person who should be contacted during emergency as ICE' (meaning In Case of Emergency).

The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when they went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose.

Following a disaster in London , the East Anglican Ambulance Service has launched a national 'In case of Emergency (ICE)' campaign.

In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital staff would then be able to quickly contact your next of kin, by simply dialing the number stored as 'ICE'.

For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc.

A great idea that will make a difference!

Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our mobile

How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:

* # 0 6 #

 A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it safe. (Don’t save it in that Mobile)

 Should your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing

Mobile phones

:::  Heart Attack : Life Saving Method  ::::::

Imagine you're going home (alone of course), after an unusually hard day on the job.

You're really tired, upset and frustrated.

Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to adiate out into

your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest

your home. Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have

been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform

it on yourself.

HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help,the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However,these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.

A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!
