The Savvy Cyber Teacher in Arizona

Presented by Alliance+ through ASSET: Arizona School Service through Educational Technology, the Savvy Cyber Teacher is a thirty-hour, intensive, professional development course focusing on student centered, project based Internet curriculum integration. Four unique and compelling reasons for using the Intetrnet in the classroom are emphasized.
  • Communication (Collaborative Projects, Ask-an-Expert, Key Pals and Telementoring)
  • Real Time Scientific Data
  • Publishing Student Work
  • Primary Sources
  • Internet Safety is always emphasized
The project trains Mentor Teachers to teach the program and mentor others in their school districtrs.

Mentor Teachers have worked hard to develop Internet projects demonstrating on or more unique and compelling reasons for using the Interenet in their classrooms. They are now ready to present the class to other teacher, staff and community members in their school districts.
