| Cassidy sat up straight in bed, sweating and crying. She rubbed her face, but couldn't get the picture of Paul carrying Fallon away out of her mind. It seemed like it was imprinted in there forever. She looked at her clock and it was 1:30. She decided to get a drink. She slowly opened her door and walked into the kitchen. She saw Mike sitting at the kitchen table writing furiously. She walked over by him. "What's happening?" she asked him. He jumped all the way out of his seat. "Oh I'm sorry" she said with a hidden smile. He blushed and nodded his head as to say "it's okay." "What are you doing?" she asked. She poured herself a glass of water. "Writing a song. What about yourself?" he asked curiously. "I had a reoccuring nightmare" she said trying not to flinch when she thought about the dream. "I'm sorry. Do you want to talk about it?" he asked. She sat down at the chair next to his. "Yeah I do. I think it would help me. Well in the dream Fallon and I are getting high together but then Paul rushes in and grabs her. I try to pull her away from him but he is stronger and he runs away with her" she said sadly. "That's horrible. Maybe you're having this dream because you didn't get to say good-bye to her" he said as he took a drink of her water. "That's what I though too but I wasn't sure" she said softly. "How's the song coming?" she asked. "Pretty good. I have the words but not the melody. I guess it's a poem now" he said chuckling. "Sing it for me sometime" she ordered. "Yes ma'am" he said saluting. She giggled but covered her mouth. "Don't wanna wake the others" she explained. "Nah they would be cranky" he said with a smile. "Yeah, I was afraid of that" she said as she took another sip of her water. "I hope this works out. I know we all really like ya! You're so sweet and maybe we needed you and you needed us" he said. "You just sounded very poetic" she said as she blinked her eyes. "Tired?" he said. "Very!" she said yawning. "Well then go to bed!" he ordered. "Yes sir" she said imatating. "You forgot to salute" he said kidding. She saluted and then ran to her room. "G'night!" she called. "Night!" he answered. |
