AIT Day 75

December 10th, 2002

I went to sick call for the first time yesterday morning to get some cold medicine for FTX. While we were waiting to get in the clinic, the First Sergeant went to talk to us. Mega bitch called us pathetic for going to sick call and told us we were weak and would be the first ones to die in war. Our punishment for being sick was to stand out in sub 32 degree weather for half an hour. Mega bitch assumed we were faking to avoid having to do PT. Well, mega bitch, did I ever go to sick call during basic to avoid road march even though I had shin splints? Did I ever go on sick call to avoid PT after getting smoked for hours the previous day? In over four months of training, have I ever gone to sick call? No, mega bitch. Dont you know I dont put up with your shit? When you locked down the company last weekend did I deserve it? No. I probably have the best room in the building. My class has said it so.

So I did what I had to do. Yes, I helped throw a rave in someones room. I was the DJ. Yes, I did sneak out of the prison you built for us to go to another company. I ordered Chinese food. I had leftovers, so me and my other roommate brought it upstairs to my other roommate. Am I allowed to have food in the barracks? No. Did I care about the rules? Of course. Do I care now that Im losing a lot of respect for mega bitch? Nope. I graduate in eight days. Mega bitch better check her attitude if she wants me to do any cleaning in my room before Im out. You readers might be surprised at my attitude, but its not just me. Everyone whos about to graduate slacks off. We just dont have to do it anymore. Specially for mega bitch.

Tomorrow is FTX. Even though Ill turn into a Popsicle, Im really looking forward to it. I miss war games. My class doesnt have bed check in the hallway tonight so we can go to sleep early. Ill be sleeping at 2000, unless mega bitch has us standing in the cold for an hour like she did last night to hear her bitch and moan.

Two more days of school. Woo hoo! We just finished taking the power train assembly out of a 5-ton. It was cool how a crane lifted it out of the truck like it was nothing. The power train is mainly the engine and transmission. It weighs 1800 lbs. Our last task is taking the power train out of the humvee. Well do that out in FTX sometime this week. Then on Monday, we become MOS qualified. That means we get our sign-on bonuses. I get $3000. Ha! I only get half when I graduate, but still, thats enough money for a new computer. The one I have now is more like a talented toaster than a modern computer.
