AIT Day 56
November 21st, 2002
I had my final PT test yesterday. I didn't do as well as I wanted. The push-ups killed me because I stopped going to the gym for a month. My run improved, so that was cool. The battalion Sergeant Major said, "You better not let me catch you. I'm 45 years old." Well, he caught me. I didn't let him pass me though. He helped my time go down. Thank you, Sergeant Major.
My class got TA-50 gear today. That's a ruck sack, canteen, ammo pouch, etc. Just like basic. We'll be in the woods in mid-December. FTX will suck. Getting the stuff got us off PT this morning and we slept in the bus on the way to the supply building. At least something good came out of TA-50. I can't wait to clean it for a week after we're done. (Not!)
