Here's how to use one basic template and make thousands (millions?) of different cards! The basic template uses a 2.5" x 2.5" square layered on a 2.75" x 3.5" piece of card stock. This piece is then mounted on the card and becomes the focal point. The card is a piece of 8.5" x 11" card stock, cut in 1/2 (to make a piece 8.5" x 5.5") and then folded in half. All the cards shown here use a stamp down the left side to create a tone-on-tone (same color ink as card stock, or use Versamark ink) background. If there is a greeting, it is stamped in the lower right corner. |

The first two cards use the same ink and card stock colors (some color variation is due to scanning), but use two different stamp sets. The accessories are the same with the excepton of the shape of the tag. The piece of Really Rust card stock was originally cut about 4.25" long to allow room for tearing. This card uses a similar color scheme, but another different stamp set. Wire, beads and crystal effects are used instead of gold cord and tags. The piece of More Mustard card stock was cut straight instead of torn. Supplies: Stipple Celebrations stamp set; Old Olive, More Mustard & Vanilla card stock; Old Olive, Ruby Red and More Mustard ink; 26-guage wire, beads and crystal effects. |
