SVT Contour & Mystique
This is my 2000 Contour SVT. It is #1166 of 2150. I bought it from my father in law with 62000 miles on it. It now has about 90,000 on it but still running like new.

This is the duratec 2.5 liter that has been tuned to put out 200 hp 30hp more than the standard one. One mod I have gotten to is the intake. I have replaced the factory cone filter with a K&N cone. I had to make an adapter plate to get it on but it makes a lot of difference in how it sounds. I think it may have also added a little hp. It seems to be breathing a little better now. I also installed a Dual Mode Damper it smoothed out the upper RPM range nicely.
I was very aggravated with the car when I first got it since ford eliminated the armrest. I heightened the armrest with oak and it is much better now. The cubby is still usable too. I have had mixed feelings on how it looks. Some think it is ok and others just think it is ghetto. The only other thing that bothers me is the seating postion it always cramps up my gas pedal leg.
This is my wifes Mystique. I must say the silver is the best color going. It always looks good and rarely even looks dirty. The only thing we have done to it is add some pedal covers. My fiance is on the shorter side and uses a block on the clutch so I made one with some aluminum pedal covers from Auto Zone. They look really good and work great. I hope to have some pictures up soon. I am considering putting in a K&N like the one I have but I will have to make a speacial adapter plate so that the temp sensor will still be in the air flow.
I recently got a stock Y pipe and had it optimized it came out great. My old modified y-pipe had a few leaks and was getting loud. My resonator was replaced with a magnaflow unit. It has almost come back to stock sound levels and sounds awsome now.
The flow will be much better than the stock crushed pipes in the flange.
