ALUMNAE PETITION
Below is a formal statement of opposition to a few specific aspects of the Master Plan for campus development.

To The Wells College Office of the President, Board of Trustees, Office of Vice President and Treasurer, and Office of Development,
Upon learning of the current proposed Master Plan for improvement of the Wells campus, we the undersigned Wells College alumnae are writing to strongly register our position regarding the following measures included within the Master Plan:
1) We support the construction of the new science building.
2) We oppose the destruction and demolition of the Long Library.
3) We oppose the destruction and demolition of the Barler Building.
4) We oppose the destruction and demolition of the Campbell Building.
5) We oppose any measures that threaten the physical well-being of either the Cleveland or Smith Hall buildings; in particular, the physical relocation of these historic buildings.
6) We oppose the unnecessary expense generated from the movement of historic buildings upon the Wells Campus, specifically the Cleveland and the Smith Hall buildings.
