CHAPTER THREE

Television has definitely Taken On the Internet in many varied ways, while the Internet leaves Tv alone; the Internet will prevail while Tv probably will not, but that is not going to be from the Internet continuously bashing Tv. Moreover, the Internet's URL addresses continuously enhance the Tv experience each time a viewer watches.

As viewers in America watched, one popular Tv show discussed one certain celebrity's possible online life. I said possible, because most are not sure the online life of dating in a messenger was the celebrity or someone merely pretending to be that celberity. And one reporter claimed that such a Tv celebrity would never ever need the Internet to locate dates!! No way!! ...All too often the Internet is frowned upon as inferior to other modes of communication. And why?

Viewers in my home area were exposed to a Tv commercial for a rather costly chatline they could dial to meet singles in the area. In the latest version of that commercial, the words, "It is more real than the Internet" were heard.

More real? What did they mean (and why does no Web site ever have to push its sale of being more real than a Tv show or commercial?)? I would like to inform anyone and everyone that hearing vices on your telephone does not more readily guarnatee the veracity of who you are interacting with than those you might type away to online. ...For your Internet dollars, you can choose many different forms of chat, message boards, newsgroups, personal advertising, even voice/picture interactions, and much much more, as they say. How can you go wrong?
